
Laura Aleman
Laura Aleman is a graduate of the Samuel Feijoo Professional Art School and was part of the El Ingenio Theater Group. She has worked in film, theater, and television and currently lives in Miami, where she has also dabbled in political activism, supporting campaigns such as Patria y Vida. Her greatest experience lies in theater, where she was part of Juan Carlos Cremata’s controversial play El Rey se muere, which was censored on the island. Her recent work includes Vuelve a contármelo todo (Tell Me Again), a play written and directed by playwright Abel González Melo, which has been performed in the United States and Spain. She also starred in Otra audiencia (Another Audition), was part of the cast of Las lloronas (The Weeping Women), and co-starred in Dos Hermanas y un piano (Two Sisters and a Piano), a play written and directed by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz. With appearances in television series, she made her film debut with the feature film Viva (2015), directed by Paddy Breathnach. In the film, which challenges notions of masculinity and identity, he shared roles with Héctor Medina, Jorge Perugorría, Luis Alberto García, and Paula Alí.
